2. A project in this class that I found most difficult would be Quiz 4. This was the quiz where we had to modify a movie poster. I think that it ended up turning out really well, but I definitely had some troubles with the quiz. I chose the movie poster from the movie Pineapple Express and chose a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker from her movie poster, Sex and The City. Cutting out and resizing the image of Sarah was so difficult. I used many different selection and erasing tools to finally get it right. I also had a really hard time with replacing Seth Rogan with Sarah Jessica Parker, because he was a lot bigger than her. So, I had to clone stamp parts of the two characters behind him. It didn't look good with the clone stamp, so I decided to just make a copy of one half of the character's body, and then I mirrored the image to the other side to complete the rest of the body. I did this for both characters on either side of her. Mirroring the images ended up working out pretty well, and I was able to use a clone stamp to make some small adjustments. I cannot say that I mastered using the clone stamp, because it's a difficult tool to use. But, I have gotten better with the clone stamp than I was when I was doing this quiz.
3. Two projects that I want to compare to one another are my midterm and my final. I am very proud of both my midterm and my final. The big idea for my midterm was light vs. darkness. I had a hard time with this idea, because I didn't really understand what it meant. i wen with the idea of colors vs not colorful, and opposites. I used to pictures of trees, and while I really like my midterm, I feel like I probably could have done something better. I really just concentrated on the idea of making it look good. So, my midterm looked pretty, but it didn't really have any meaning. When we were given the opportunity to change our big idea, I really wanted to take advantage of this. I chose the big idea of desire. I felt it was a very deep idea and I was given inspiration from an artist I previously researched. I wanted my project to really mean something, so I took a while to come up with symbols of desire and what desire meant to me and other people. I represented desire of both the past and present, to show that desire for others and happiness has always existed. I think that my final has a lot of meaning behind it and I believe I was able to make it look really pretty at the same time.
